ecutek remap for around £550 will see improvements. Decat without a map will be causing boost spikes and its probably running lean.

Boost is right. How much power do you want? What do you wanna spend?

Don't really want to spend silly money as it's an old car and only worth what it's worth

you bought the wrong car then as it can only be mapped via ecutek software/mapper and costs £550+

Prodrive ecu is probably the cheapest option. Gives 240bhp-ish, and 260ftlb @ 1.1 bar, they go for £100-£250 on ebay. Plug and play, but is mapped for standard catted downpipe with straight through centre section and back box rather than full decat. You would also need an uprated intercooler y-pipe.

Yes there is, How many replies do you want that say get a remap?

Try joining SIOC, they'll tell you to decat it, fit the biggest induction kit you can find, get a boost controller and you'll be running 400 brake in no time.

You probably need to read up on this some more before asking questions then, otherwise you won't understand the answers.....

Bleed Valve is the cheapest way of turning the boost up(about £35 fitted????), but problem is Impreza's dont like cheap quick fix mods, they really need to be properly modified(as in mapped for any mods that are fitted)

If your not prepared to do it right then I would leave the car alone, as it will be more expensive replacing a engine once its broke due to poor modification choices.
