Default Dyno results - Hawkeye 349bhp

Just thought I would post up my dyno results. The car is a 2.5 STI UK. Mods are:
Standard exhaust (decated)
Walbro 255 fuel pump
OEM ported headers wrapped
Harvey trick uppipe
3 port boost solanoid
STI uprated panel filter
TD05 20g billet turbo
Remap
Airbox resonator removed
Bailey dump valve
Made 349bhp (v power fuel) and turbo seems to cut in almost instantly, drives really well...I will add the dyno graphs this afternoon

This does seem low, I had 360 out of the vf43 on my wrx, with the 20g I would expect to be close to 400?

Was your car mapped on the road or dyno?

Maybe the boost was held back to keep some headroom in the injectors or fuel wasn't up to the job though. Does seem to tail off quite quickly though.

Not sure I'd be expecting 400 unless the injectors were switched out.

Doesn't the hawkeye sti have the blue injectors? If so my hatch with the blue injectors as standard made 405bhp last week and that was backed off slightly to leave a little head room.

No problem when I get on my laptop later I will post the graph. Spec is full decat exhaust system, ported standard manifold, billet SC 40, cosworth induction kit, perrin intake pipe, grim speed 3 port, HRC fuel pump, FMIC, forged pistons. Mapping by Bob Rawle.

Seems to me like you spent a fair chunk of wonga to get what your standard set up would be capable of with just a fuel pump & re-map.

Sorry.

Who mapped it?

Hi the turbo did not make as much boost as expected but it was a Kinugawa td0520g, billet wheel, 8cm housing, sts 9 blade wheel. The mapper did comment that it was not making as much boost as it should of been, but the turbo is the cheaper £650 turbo and is half the price of the usual 400bhp turbo chargers... Wish i bought a more expensive turbo now lol...Anyway its all running good, maybe i will upgrade the turbo in a year or 2...

Seems like it, i done loads and loads of research on the Kinugawa turbos before hand and read really really good reveiws about it, i swa a few dyno graphs with the same turbo make 412bhp with simular mods to me, anyway i will probably upgrade next year. So do you think if i bought something like the Lateral performance 321t and then got a map tweek then i should make around the 400bhp mark?

i looked at these as i couldnt find a decent td05 16g after my vf28 blew up few months ago , seems a very mixed bag of results, some have blown apart so instantly put me off and got a decent vf off a reputable breaker

These injectors are good for 400bhp

The turbo could do more but it was reduced to keep the injectors safe.

kinucrappa turbo fails to peform, well theres a shock. Ask yourself why its half the price of other turbo's before you buy.

I also looked into the Kinugawas and read some good reviews, but in the end I picked up a used billet SC 40 and it goes very well on the 2.5, and was a bargain price, keep your eye open in the classifieds you may get lucky.

Stock headers good for 400
2.5 exhaust also isn't a problem at that level

If anything his problem will lie in the down pipe
He is running ported OEM & harvey up - pipe
To get the most & cpld with the 2.5 system goin fully de cat
With a good quality open down pipe mated to a straight pipe to back box will get you better results sticking with that 2.5 diam
Done it & been thr

So was 360bhp an "estimate" if it was mapped on the road or did an actual dyno show that result? Good figures

It's a Hayward and Scott fully decat open mouthed decat down pipe, that's mated to a standard centre section and back box, I might upgrade the exhaust when I get a new turbo though ...
