Default Front passenger side window problem

Hey there,

I'm having issues with my front passenger window, the first problem I had was the switch on the front driver door wouldn't let me put the front passenger window down, so I tried the actual switch on that door and it would let me take it down, however it then wouldn't let me take it back up on any of the switches. So I took it to a so called reputable garage and they said its the motor/regulator. So I bought another one, took the car back to them and now they are saying its a wiring problem, and this is beyond there knowledge. Anyways now I don't really know any other garages I trust with my car can anyone help me out or had a similar problem ?

I've tried to look on YouTube for a video of how to replace the regulator/motor myself, with no luck. I normally do most little jobs myself with YouTube videos, when it comes to things like this though I prefer someone with experience. I spoke to a friend of mine and they said a common problem is the window switches ?

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

Could be window switches. I have spares if you need them.

Had exact same problem with mine.

I pretty much made the same mistakes as you.

In the end i took out both front and rear passenger switches and swapped them over. Hey presto!! It now works again, well, not in the back any longer

Which switch is my problem ? I can contr all my windows from the drivers door, but the switch in the driver door won't work the front passenger window, but the switch in the front passenger window will make it go down just not up. So which switch is the problem ? Passenger switch or driver side switch ? Or both ?

Thanks

That's why I got so confused. It is solely the front passenger switch only. That was my case anyway.

Try pulling out both passenger switches and swapping them over.

Will try this, my next problem is the guy who looked at my car has not put the motor/regulator back together properly. Don't suppose anyone has an idiots how to guide of putting it back together ? From what I'm aware he's chocked it up with a block of wood to stop the window now falling down

Thanks
