EVO Mag out now: Feature new TVR Tamora
#5
I'll be out in one as soon as they are available as my vet has one on order at his dealer and he is No1 on their list
I now know why his consultancy fees are so high as he also has a 5 door WRX for his daily vet duties

I'm just so glad I subscribe..... that's why I get to read "Evo is out now" 1 to to days before it drops through my door.
Its only got to get to Scotland for funks sake....
About this time, someone usually reveals the winner of the group test / car of the year .... so come on then ..... lets get it over with.

What????????
Its feckin awesome. Everyone who owns a scooby should test a TVR. They are amazing!!! It makes the scooby feel so "sedate". And i tested a mere 285bhp Chimera. And was driven around town in a Tuscan. Both were amazing! TEST ONE BEFORE YOU RANT ABOUT THEM. THEN YOULL "GET IT"!!!!!!
Imagine 350bhp and 1050kgs? and rear wheel drive.
If you can look past the iffy build quality (the Tuscan leaks water and the chimera rattles) you get IMHO the best "Performance Experience" cars money can buy.
And the interiors make the scooby look like a peddle bin!!

Jza,
I'm not the one ranting am I?
Merely said it looks like a kit car - which it does.
Kit cars whoever, tend to be better finished and put together.
I don't dislike TVRs - if they ever finished
them I'm sure they'd be wonderful.

personally i think the tvr griffith is the most beautiful car ive ever see, always have.
my next door neighbour has one of them old wedge shape tvr's, the engine sound is the best ive ever heard, even better than our decatted scoob.
why dont i buy a tvr? because i see my next door neighbour fixing his all the time. its ok for a second car, but would you rely on one if it was your only car? would it breakdown and leave you stranded?
if someone could put their hand up and say" i have or had a tvr and ive never had any bother with it", i'd be tempted by one one day, but till then i will not bother.

No mate - "wasnt you". Just i read lots of people on this BBS slagging off a make of car they havent driven.
Admittedly they have faults but if the people would test drive one theyd be converted. They would then "get it". Like people who put up with the cold in a caterham to get the raw experience, you do the same with a TVR and accept things may fall off and go wrong. But to drive one (let alone own one!!) is a must for any car enthusiast. Awesome. No need for any other words.
Please Please have a test drive. The dealers are excellent and shame Subaru for their treatment of everyone. You'll be so tempted to buy one if you have a go!!!
Took me 6 months to calm down and buy a scooby instead! But still would swap in a moment if i could use one a TVR as an everyday car!!!!

Have not read the write up yet, just looked at the pics.
Must say it does look nice, and I do have a soft spot for blackpool's finest.
Though I'd still have the tuscan or tuscan S.

Jza,
I've driven a Chimaera, a Griffith and a Cerbera.
Always wanted a Griffith till I drove one. Cerbera is possibly the nastiest car I've ever test driven.
Chimaera was the best of the 3 by miles.
Now a Caterham/Westfield, that's a different matter
