While picking my car up was talking to the owner of the garage about his ongoing project a 700bhp subaru powered awd mk1 escort road legal drag car. I was asking about how they put all the running gear etc in and basically the chopped the body off the escort off the chassi and welded it onto a sti chassi to make all tge running gear fit nicely.
