Around the 22 mark. Just over a 1000 miles but still restricted to 4000 RPM. (Service due 13 June).

Hope this helps.

Haven't got the foggiest mate - pour it in one end, press loud pedal, and burn it out of the other end

I am only getting 15 mpg !!! 98 RON with octane booster. Got 2,500 kms on the clock. 85% of driving is stop and go type, rest is slightly open road where I tend to punch it a little. Not a very accurate measure though, this is how I got it. Fillup when my tank shows 1/4 left (roughly 5 gallons left) takes roughly 11 to fillup when I hit 1/4 tank. From fillup down to 1/4 tank I get about 260 - 280 kms.....so = roughly 170 miles, divided by 11 gallons = 15 mpg !!! ....man I hope this gets better as my car gets broken in

Cheers,
Ray

Mainly around town
Best 220 miles on 50Ltrs(before first service) Least was 127 but I think the next top up will be under 100 miles

Settling into 22 pretty regularly now (3000 miles driven). Compares with my MY00 Turbo 25 - 26. The STi is more sensitive to driving styles and conditions, as you might expect, than was the standard Turbo.

TIP: 5.5 Miles per Litre = 25 MPG as near as makes no difference, so filling up at about 240 miles (242 to be exact) should require 44 litres.

Razor - you sur about that?

5g = 1/4 of a tank - that's a 20g tank (91 litres).

I don't know how big a fuel tank is on an Sti, 55 litres? If so, if you do 170 miles and still have a quartter of a tank left, you have done 170 miles in 3/4 so a range of 220-230 miles is possible 230/11 = just shy of 21 mpg. oooh that's still not good

Only used one tank full so far and got 25.4 mpg - nearly 300 miles on one tank. Not sure how many miles you can do after the warning light comes on. The manual says there is 2 gallons left, but I am not so sure based on how fast the needle descended and the amount of fuel I put in when I filled up - 53 litres.

Razor,

That's not a very good way of measuring it (not very accurate). Fill it up to a point in the filler neck you can see. Reset the odometer. Drive. Fill up again to the same point and make a note of fuel gone in and milage covered to work it out.....

Red face

I had one for 3 months, did 4,322 miles at an average of 18.6mpg.

Best tankful avg 25.4mpg, worst 14.57mpg.

Petrol cost for the 4,300 miles ------ £811.93 !!!!

Cool

MattN,

I know the STi only holds 15.9 gallons. I was using the 1/4 mark as a reference point. If you read my post again you will see that I said the 260 - 280 kms travelled is on about 11 gallons (11 gallons to fill it back up from 1/4 tank) So I measured my mpg on gallons to fill back up which is accurate as that is what the pump says. So it just shows you how off the fuel guage is. Basically when my gauge says 1/4 tank it takes 11 gallons to fill my car up, so if it has a 15.9 gallon capacity then that must mean I have 5 gallons left in the tank which is more that a 1/4 tank obviously

Cheers,
Ray

PS: Clear as mud..... and yes that means I am getting 15 mpg, nadda good
