Default Back after many moons.

Afternoon.
Used to be a member many moons ago. Back on now Plans to be building a classic from start to finish(iv bought an engine before iv bought a car to put it into!)

As said was into the scene probably 7 ish year ago but at that point the classic had dropped to the price range where they were seen everywhere and abused at same point, dont know if any one remembers it!

looked through forum ans seems to be the same place but with alot less argueing!

Anyway will always give advice on the motor if can and help if needed hope everyone is good.

MODS.. Couldnt find a hi im new topic if there is one sorry n move it if can. Thanks.

Welcome back.
NOT the same place: FAR too much advertising, and many times less traffic. Posts can stay on the same page for days now, never could 7 years ago.

alot of crap advice as well.

funniest thing is lots of small tuners have poped up claiming credit for finding tuning techniques that were first done 10 years ago lol

Remember your username from back then! yes remember quite well.. For example the couple of typos in my post above would have been pointed out.. And iv been abused to the point of manic depression as a newbie lol.

Was reasonably funny at the time as long as you took it with a pinch of salt,

You know you have to !
I left in 2003 and came back in 2014 when I decided that a Classic Turbo was indeed a 'classic' and I wasn't mad the first time around.

You're right - definitely more civilised than the first time around - maybe its age !?

Apart from a thread a few weeks ago about a classic that crashed near Coventry and if it was a cut and shut or not - that was getting interesting !

Come on name and shame get it out in the open its obviously something that needs to be aired!

And the classics are slowly creeping up in value to what they were back then so maybe the price is a contributing factor.
Remember a post about a stolen wagon that had been crashed in Bradford and the newspaper reporting saying that the police couldn't get kids out....

Some of the posts on that were a little bit cringe worthy!

Not to relight any arguments but quite a few imports came in to country with the roof chopped off then re welded together and registered. This was to get out of paying the massive amount of fees applicable at the time. as there were shipped as second hand parts not a complete vehicle

Quite a few have passed on, or left the site due to an influx of know-nothings with big mouths and an abrasive attitude, who asked questions and then argued when they didn't get the answer they wanted

Check out the stickies to see who's passed on.
