Went to watch the local'ish point to point horse-racing yesterday. Sponsored by Subaru / the local dealer.

3 cars on display. You've guessed it...
1 x (Legacy) Outback
1 x Forester
1 x XV
0 x anything else

Why would a farmer/landowner want an Impreza?

TBH, why would ANYONE, these days, given the chocolate engines, poor after sales service and crap design?

There's some history - don't forget Subaru's first route to market in the UK was via agricultural dealers - hence why the farming community bought into them in the first place. My local dealer (Culverwell) is still primarily an ag dealer.

I believe Scoobyclinic actually started out as an independent Subaru Forester specialist, for all the farmers in the region.

First new Subaru I seriously went to look at was a Legacy 2.2GX Estate in early 1990.
Again, the franchise an agricultural dealer - down a country lane near Garstang. Inspired route to market ? Still a franchise when the Impreza turbo was launched in 94.
