Default Bilstein B14 coilovers any good?

Hi there

whats peoples opinions on them?

they will be going on my spec c, I have max c top mounts.

they be ok for the road?

Wouldn't do it for road, spec c suspension should be good enough, add alk and roll centre kit-but no idea it make sense on standard struts.

Bilstein B14's any good? In my opinion, yes they are.

I have them fitted to my Spec C and I'm really happy with them.
How suitable you'll find them for road use though is down to personal preferences.

Thanks Nic, I tried the springs and shocks with the mounts just wasn't right.
Do it once do it properly, got the Ap's to go on so may as well do these.

You might find them ok on the road, I have pillow ball bushes in all my suspension joints so it's not the most forgiving of chassis

If not I think RCM can get them re-valved and some softer springs.

I don't have the roll centre kit on mine and the ride height measures about
355 mm F / 345 mm R (centre of wheel to top of arch).

I wasn't impressed when they were first fitted it didn't seem to corner better than the original wrx on advice then had the ride height raised and added a roll centre kit.Made a big difference.

I rate my B14's very good, nice ride on the road and work well on the track too

Anyone looking for a set of coilovers, these are pound for pound along side the kW's V1 for there money, perfect for the road.
