You correct, but some can get registered after that date. This happens with most cars

So all should be fine with it being on a 56 plate then?

Just check if it was registered on or after 23rd March 2006 because if so, you'll be looking at around £490 a year road tax rather than the £280ish for those from before then.

Apparently it was first registered 09/09/2006 so guess that explains the plate then.

Why is this more desirable than a 2005 registered car? It isn't as if it was manufactured in 2006. So this one has sat on a forecourt or docks or somewhere else for a good few months before being registered. Big tax band too? It wouldn't be a deal breaker but the
£200 per year can be spend on many better things, hookers dope, beer etc.

It just generally is, dont really know why but its likely to gather a slightly higher price than an older one (regardless of when it was built)

Theres something special about it.

The higher tax band is a bit of a bummer but not enough to put me off tbh. I was just wary with it being on a 56 plate but all seems to be fine with it
