Default Anyone knowledgeable about auto box's?

Hi guys. Really desperate, my scooby scooby is off the road, so been using my supra, only now I have no car on the road. It decided all of a sudden, 1st and 2nd gear it will run fine, anything after that, ie "drive" (3rd and 4th) is a no go, I've changed atf and after a little drive seemed ok, but just taken it out, redline the whole drive in 2nd gear
Any help would be great
Shaun

Hi Shaun

Not sure, but does yours speedo working fine ? What fluid did you use in 4EAT and in diff ?
Second bit which I think on those boxes can be issue is duty solenoid which can be faulty, depends how you and previous owners maintained the gearbox etc or in worse case scenario clutch packs can be damaged etc.

Thanks,Jura

Hi, well from the look at the fluid I pulled out of the box, it's not been changed in 22 years.
I used carlube ATF-U as advised by members on the supra forum.
All seemed fine on a little run afterwards.
