0-60 in 6.5 and 14.5 1/4 mile aint slow but a 2 door coupe like that is crying out for more.

The seats are nice though

Yet another, "We have lost our way", car from Subaru.

I can't see folk queueing for that.

It isn't all about power though, the MX5 wasn't exactly quick and look how good they are.
200 bhp in a little rear wheel drive sports car is plenty enough to have some fun.

That is not fit to wear the STi badge.

A Boggo WRX is way quicker.

At least normal brz owners won't get sti envy. Needs a spoiler blown arches and a turbo. 280-300 would've been a nice starting point.

A car that goes well enough, handles brilliantly and is genuinely a good laugh go drive... Yeah sounds like they've really lost their way on that one.

Its hardly a slow car, will be fun/handle well and there will be plenty of tuning options. I wouldnt say no to a supercharged one though!

But why not turbo it? Make it a proper STi.

I don't see many BRZ's around compared to the GT86. There's very little to separate them on paper, so does it come down to the badge?

The cars are the same, however Toyota offer 5 years 100K warranty whereas subaru offer 3 years 60k warranty.
Both cars cost the same, look the same (well minor front bumper change) and drive the same.

This car is not for turbo, however I think the 3.0 six cylinder engine would compliment it well

I reckon a supercharger would work well. Almost no lag, more shove.

I often see a 15 plate GT86 around here - a special edition with a massive spoiler and huge exhausts. Talk about all show, not much go.

At initial launch, both manufacturers agreed upon some kind of sales ratio whereby Subaru could only sell one BRZ for every ~nine or so GT86's. Don't quote me on that 1:9 ratio but it was something along those lines iirc.

Has actually any of you that criticise the car driven a BRZ/GT86?

I test drove a GT86 and although it may not set the tarmac on fire it's such a fun car to drive, it's not all about power at the end of the day.

On a more serious note Evo magazine did a group test with a supercharged BRZ. They seemed to rate it. Think it was running about 280.

The BRZ has had a 5 year/100k warranty since 2013.
The two cars also have slightly different spring rates (BRZ is slightly stiffer).
