Default How do you de fog lights?

De fog, de mist not sure what to call it.

I've seen multiple methods on line. Toothpaste looks the easiest.

What are the best ways to get your head lights looking nice and shiney?

Do you mean on the outside? If so i used a 2000grade flatting paper (wet with a bit of washing up liquid) then machine polish with 3m finishing compound (green top)

Sorry yes, I assume they can get crappy inside too? Then I'm screwed. I've got all the above to I'll give that a go first. Thanks!

+1 for toothpaste, keep repeating until happy with the result. In hindsight I should have taken before/after photos.

Jewellers Rouge, peanuts from eBay. It's one of the finest compounds you can use, if it's good enough for gold and diamonds, then it's good enough for your headlights.

A word of caution with a machine polish, do not get to much heat into the lens, it goes very wrong.

+2 for toothpaste.

Meguiar's also do a kit: http://www.halfords.com/motoring-tra...estoration-kit

But the cost of a tube of toothpaste vs the Meguiar's kit makes the toothpaste approach a no-brainer imho.
