Default hello - new here

Afternoon everyone,

Let me introduce myself, my name is Phil and I have ALWAYS been a fan of the scoobies and wanted one but always thought them too expensive etc.

Either they have come down or my perception of expensive has changed and I am considering purchasing one. Was thinking of maybe a Subaru Impreza 2.0 RC AWD diesel boxer and just wanted to ask peoples experiences of the diesel boxer?!

Any ideas on expected MPG etc, mostly motorway driving and a bit of out in local town etc.

I look forward to chatting with you all.

Phil

Welcome. I had a 2009 Legacy diesel.... loved it but the experience was ruined by worry over the known engine issues with the first diesels up to 2010....silicon in oil ways and main bearing issues. To be honest, the boxer diesel was ok, but it was the chassis and handling that shone. Many have no problems at all, but the worry spoilt it for me
