6 speed finally finished and final map done
Well finally had the 6 speed conversion finished and the SC42 mapped to its full potential.
Mapped to 1.5bar, and I gotta say it is brutal. The pick up on the gear changes is unreal.
Its good to be able to drive it without fear of stripping the box lol.
Huge thanks to Rich at East Kent Subaru for their hard work, top job as always.
Respray next, then suspension then it'll be finished

Remember seeing this car few weeks ago! Gald it's gone well, enjoy it!
As for East Kent Subaru, are they as good as your making out? Wanting an engine swap as I need more power, bigger turbo, FMIC, ect... Do they do all that too?

Well done Alex, the car sounds great!
Which 6 speed did you go for? (I'm being curious as you know that's where I'm heading!)
Also did you measure the power output and did you get a dyno graph?

It was mapped on the road so no idea what its running but it is bloody quick now. I'll probably get a map tweak on the dyno in a few months and see what it's running 😃

Also it is not about how much bar the turbo runs.
If it need less bar to make the power then that is good in a way.
A higher compression engine needs less bar of boost to hit x power
A lower compression engine needs more bar of boost to hit x power
....Same result
I personally prefer the former option.
Probably the Silverline Subaru, Perhaps Andy Banhams very quick track spec C on slicks and my MB developments/Surrey Subaru Specialists/silverline sponsored impreza will all be down at Lydden Hill next Saturday morning if you are about.
I guess Rich might turn up in his Forrester, he did last time. He had a few problems but might have ironed them out.
Also Banny when I surface at Mattys in a couple of months I will let you know

And also what diff you are matching it to ...an existing R160 or going the whole hog and going R180 and replacing shafts ect etc
Contact Matty...he usually has a six speed or two knocking about.
Cheers
