Buyers Beware WR1 on eBay, please share
Hi Guys,
I would like to give anyone interested in this Subaru WR1 on eBay a heads up.

2004 SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI WR1 BLUE + 8 MONTHS MOT+ 79K + SPARES & REPAIRS
I won this car last weekend under the impression all it needed was an engine repair (I'm a vehicle technician of 11 years) and upon making the 400 mile round trip, found the car to be massively misadvertised, every panel apart from the boot and roof had been badly re sprayed, the rear arches were full of body filler with corrosion coming through as well, corrosion coming through above the windscreen, none of the panels fit correctly apart from the boot lid, the front bumper and offside front door had come off a darker blue Subaru as could be seen at the edges of the bumper and the door, the headlights were hanging out, it looked as though the near side chassis leg was bent judging by how the front wings had been fit and there was a big patch of weld on the near side front sill and floor from a bad crash repair, overall the car was not safe to be on the road. I'm not quite so sure where the superb condition as it was described comes from to describe this car, the icing on the cake was when the seller told me he was selling this on behalf of his friend who had left the country!!! The seller had no v5 and expected me to take the car without one.
After I left negative feedback I have also received some quite nasty text messages which I will try and post up screenshots once I have edited them so as not to show his phone number.
I am well aware this happens pretty regularly on eBay but I am posting this to try prevent anyone from buying a lemon, thankfully I'm only £250 down instead of nearly £5500.
It would be greatly appreciated if this could be shared around other Subaru forums as well.
Many Thanks
Will

That's a long trip to make.
To be honest the advert looks suspect, plus his feedback is no good either, hes sold a Golf Gti that was not as described and had numerous defects.
That would have rang alarm bells to me.
