Default Rare or just expensive?

looking for a replacement for our impreza that is a bit bigger. This would fit the bill but it seems 25% more expensive than anything else on the market. Is there any obvious reason?

Manuals are pretty rare.

It seems a fair price from a dealer; 2 years ago it would have been over £ 15000 to bring in. It is the facelifted final version of the mk4, and looks like a spec B, with Bilstein shocks. Manuals are much rarer but more and more are appearing over here so if it is not perfect keep hunting, or get an importer to find you one. The ride is much more refined than an Impreza. Ask over on UK Legacy.com, or get the "tuned by sti" version.

Just looked at the other photos, it is a 4c grade, which could be better, and has been modified as the exhaust has been changed, so check it has been remapped here. If it is just a GT then it is a bit dear and not rare, but my Jap is a bit rusty on the auction card. It should have a spec B badge on the tailgate.

Thanks HC and others. Showing my ignorance probably but I was surprised it was only a 2l engine. IS it the same as the wrx/sti 2 l?
Looking at the Jap auctions nothing goes for anything like this figure and yes there are costs, import, speedo, sva etc and they have to make a profit but it still seems pricey. And it's white and looks like one of those private ambulances!
I'll keep looking.

I think it is exactly the same, but the top mount looks a bit smaller; Litchfield used to import them and map to about 320bhp. Possibly the chaps on UK Legacy will tell you that white is the most sought after colour !! You will get all answers there, and they often have them up for sale.

Expensive.
Torque GT are bringing them in for £8k in manual spec and only a bit more for SiDrive.

I had a manual WR Ltd GT Spec B version and you will be surprised how good these are. Mine was from Lichfields and with his map it managed 330/330.

Hugely capable and a really good sleeper.
