Default Car not starting help. Maybe fuel pump

Hi all its been awhile since I have been on here.
My 1994 wrx will not start.
It's was running fine, then I turned it off at work . When I tried to start it is as if there was no fuel getting to the engine. I have pulled the pipe off the out pipe from the fuel filter. Witch I think is the black thing on the right side, with arrows on it. The pipe that comes off the filter to the engine has no petrol coming out.
I have tried to pull the fuel pump out but having problems. Got the cap off but can not undo the 4 nuts to get it out .
I see there is 3 pips coming off the pump in the boot,is there a way to take a pipe off and see if the fuel pump is working. & if you can watch one as their is 3.
Any help please

Sounds like fuel pump, does it make a buzzing sound when you switch the ignition on(not start it, just 1 click over for the lights to come on the dash??)

there is a connector under the rear seat drivers side about the size of a zippo lighter, black in colour they corrode to buggery with condensation, check that first before you spend any money

Had this exact same thing on mine today. Called RAC, they re crimped the live power wires directly instead of sitting inside the block, and its been perfect. Pretty sure that's what was causing my funny starting when cold because it hasn't done it since

I can not hear any sounds when I turn the key.
Is there not a pipe I can take off so when I go to start it if there is no petrol coming out then I no it's the pump .
Plus some say to take the back seat out . But the cap witch is held on by 4 cross head , is in the boot drivers side . So why take the back seat out or down .

He's saying the fuel pump wiring is under the back seat in a connector block.
Check that first.

the connector supplies the fuel pump with live n earth, to prove if the pump is knackered take a live wire from the battery and connect to the connector block, after disconecting,on the pump side if you put the live in live it will go bzzzz as normal, if you put it in the earth by mistake the pump will run in reverse and make a weird noise,if it works problem solved crimps and heat shrink the wires together without the block as rac do, if that fails then its the relay under the steering rack

A neat little tip I got from here when the fuel pump
on my my97 failed was to give the fuel tank a decent
slap with your hand from under the rear, kicked mine
into life until I got a replacement pump sorted.

the first test is at the connector block to see if you have 12v
