Advice on my bugeye Wrx
Hello.
I get bored easy so change my car often, but keep coming back to impreza's. Only ever owned classics (uk turbo's, import Wrx' and Sti V1) although my brother had a bugeye when they were quite new.
Had no intention of buying an impreza but went to look at one for a mate. He decided it was too rough for him (and has since bought another), but whilst I was talking to the owner, ended up doing a swop for an Audi S3 I'd aquired that needed a gearbox.
So now I have the impreza bug and really want a nice one. Trouble is, this one isn't nice!
It looks nice a straight, doesn't look like it's ever had paint and doesn't seem to be rusty (Although it does have rust under the boot seal).
However, it's been bodged in its life.
Heater blows but not to the vents so guessing it's been messed with.
Air con has been cut out with a knife!
Headlights have been wired up by a child
Front mount in the boot, front cut badly to fit it
Stereo not connected and is a mass of wires behind it.
Need a window regulator
Needs a radiator
Need a rear shock.
I now it sounds like a nail, but in real life it looks ok.
Owes me £1600, which I thought was cheap so accepted the issues it has.
What to do next.
Fix what needs fixing to be real worthy and drive it is my plan, buy the issues will annoy me and I will want a better one, probably the blob Sti ive always wanted but never got.
Try and sell it as it is, but I don't hide anything so will probably struggle to get £1600 back for it.
Break it.
Drive it and then break it when I'm bored.
It's got some nice speedline wheels.
Japspeed exhaust
Sports cat
Uk300 spoiler
Private plate (valued at £650 bit doubt I'd be able to sell it.)
What to do!

I can't see why you wouldn't get £1600 for it. Looks tidy enough.
Both these are easy jobs.
Need a window regulator
Needs a radiator
Stereo fitting won't be hard just take alot of time. Not sure what you mean by Front mount in the boot, front cut badly to fit it?
So be honest i'd get those jobs sorted, all seem straight forward enough. If you brake it i'm sure you will get your money back, but if you fix faults sure you can get more.

Front mount I assume has been fitted in the past. Is in the boot and the standard intercooler is fitted. But the bumper bar behind the bumper has been cut to fit the intercooler and it a bodge job.
I'll get the rad purely so I can drive it for a bit. I can always swop the insurance onto my next one and the tax will be refunded anyway.
I hate changing window regulators!
