Default Advice on buying a type r please

hi,I am in the market for a type r at the moment with a budget of between 7-8k maximum,I have viewed a v4 fresh import with 65k that seems original and returned to near standard which I am debating but trying not to rush into, also the seller seems to be genuine and have a good reputation and a good stock of very nice imprezas, but any info or advice on buying a import would be very appreciated
Thanks simon

They will probably want undersealing, if not done so already.

Cat 1 alarm will need to be fitted.

Service is a must unless you can read the jap paperwork.

Had one before and it came with winter tyres still on it!

Yes it needed to be under sealed but wasn't a bad thing as I could see the true condition but also needed a alarm as you say.
my Japanese isn't great so a good service would of been a priority

be the lower end of the price range so expect it to be a bit rough around the edge and have some miles on it at that sort of budget

I'm not expecting showroom condition as it will be 15+ years old, just would like to get the best I can for my budget.
I don't mind a bit of work to do just not a complete nail so I thought this would be the best place to ask

He did say he had the auction sheet to show me to confirm mileage,I am not having much luck at finding another at the moment, either sold before I can get to view or they sound like a waste of a journey
