Default Opinion on these two cars please

Hi all,

These two cars are at the lower end budget of the STI market, anything I should be looking for that's different to my newage WRX's that I'm use too?

I'd say the bug looks a better choice of the 2. Seller gives much more detail...shame about the lack of service book......
The blob looks tatty IMO and seller barely gives any info.

Deffo the bug. Ok, he doesn't have the log book, but a quick 2 minute phone call to scoobyclinic could confirm the works done. Budget in for a massive service and it looks like a decent car.

The blob looks pretty pants tbh. If the seller can't be bothered spending a half hour writing a decent advert, then I doubt he's bothered looking after the car.

He does say the Blob he's selling for a friend, you could email him asking for more info?

Not much info on the blob , pretty basic ad,
I'd go for the bug by just looking at the ad.

Am I the only one that thinks the Blob is a bit of a bargain then.

Go and see the Blob, expect to pay the extra £500 and drive away a newer, better looking car. If its a nail, walk away. Looks standard and is priced correctly.

Looks like theyre a general car sales place so arent going to go into details etc.

The mere fact the bug has no history etc would be enough to set the alarm bells ringing for me. Its usually been lost when theres a large unrecorded accident repair bill in there somewhere or a history of issues.

Personally, I'd go with the bug.

Cheers guys, the Blob is 330 miles from me so not an easy 'pop to view' car

I have my Bugeye and I do like them, mine looks hard as nails in my opinion but the Blob looks a lot newer and refined.

Are there huge differences between the UK Sti and the JDM ones?

This is my current bug wrx (Until new owner pics it up later)

Id say the blob could be a descent buy at that price, go have a look at it with cash in hand and you may end up with it.

I personally love bugeyes. Ive got a blob now but i love the look of a tidy bugeye even more so the prodrive edition with that front bumper.

Yes thats the one, my bug photo'd above has been driven away by a very happy new owner, I regret even advertising it, however always wanted more power.

I could stick a VF turbo on it and pinks, but it'll never be an Sti, never add to the value and for that reason would rather buy an STI.

I should really buy something economical but if I buy an STI I will possibly keepy my Golf Diesel too.

Still cant decide which I want more, the Blob looks better but I prefer almost everything else about the bug, like the mods etc

Is that what blobs are going for these days? I thought £6-7k was widetrack money, or have I missed that boat?

Yep! Subaru's have probably gone up in value by 20% over the last 12/18 months.
