Hello,
Couple of newbie questions;
Where is the best place to buy Prodrive parts? I'm looking for the sport silencer and some other bits. Can you buy direct from Prodive or main dealer only?
I'd also like to pick up a set of 01/02 STI headlamps..any suggestions?
Thanks!

The Prodrive stuff is only available through dealers and I think the wiring on the STIs headlamps is different to that of the WRX so it would not be a direct replacement.
But again if you want to get hold of the STI headlamps to find out it will be through a dealer for a considerable amount of money.

The wiring *is* totally different between the WRX lamps and STi7. There was a thread on here about it a while back. IIRC the problem was wiring the levelling motors.
You may also find STi7 parts are on a restricted list like P1 - your chassis number is checked, and if you don't have a P1, you can't buy P1 bits.
Lastly, if you *could* get hold of a pair of STi headlamps plus levelling motors etc from your Subaru dealer, I bet they would cost you the thick end of £400 or more.......

You can get Prodrive parts from Gibsons of Brock, they put a WR backbox on my MY01 imported WRX. Not sure if the parts are any cheaper than the main dealer, although the fitting should be. I got my PPP done there for £1k!

BL,
I spoke to David Gibson, they had the car for the day and an ex-Prodrive employee does the job for them. Major difference on acceleration, only problem is you have to drive around in their clapped out Justy for the day!

Looks like it'd be a lot easier going to Preston than Belgium - didn't anything come off when you were talking to Hans?
turbo wrx - what's the warranty situation if Brock's fit it?
Apple
PS mine should land in approx 3/4 weeks![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Apple,
Brocks sourced the car for me and the warranty is 12 months Subaru and 2 years from Gibsons. Gibsons assured me that my warranty will be unaffected, obviously if you sourced it elsewhere you need to check it out beforehand.

Thanks for the replies everyone.
I live in the US (originaly from Cardiff), and parts prices seem a bit steep here to say the least! The 02 Sti headlamps (and these are RHD's) are around $850.00, or roughly 600.00 quid - and the HID version is $1850.00!!
