make sure you waxoil inside the pockets in the boot, thats where they eat themselves from. Be careful ploughing loads of time/money into a uk2000, theyre known on here as poverty spec, so tend to be the bottom of the food chain. You're about to learn that an Impreza will laugh at your bank balance, especially when its a uk2000

Yup, several times until I learnt not to plough money/time into a uk2000. 1st classic I had was a 330bhp X reg uk2000, all the mods had already been done and it was well looked after, but was eating itself from the inside out. Sold that and bought a red uk2000 that appeared to be rust free but needed an engine/mot etc. Nice blank canvass I thought but by the time I'd got it on the road (6 months) the arches were starting to go on that too. Now got a type r and the 1st thing I did was take it somewhere to be stripped and fully rust proofed/undersealed.
