blown fuse problems?
where are the fuse boxes? i understand there are two... one inside and one under the hood somewhere.
i have a few problems, maybe blown fuses?
central locking does not lock from key (does from alarm fob) changed key battery, still not working.
AC is screwed. the footwell setting 'bleeds' into the windscreen setting, so is half as effective as a result. also seems to go cold now when stationary, and you need to blip the gas pedal to get some heat out of it (for a minute, then goes cold again)
also have a steering problem, but it is probably mechanical. but could a fuse affect the steering?
i would like to check every fuse, how would i do this? would it be easier just to replace them all en mass, given their age? (10 years)
thanks for any advice.

The cold air maybe an airlock or low on coolant which could be a leak after reading all your problems it would certainly be advisable to take it to someone who knows what they are doing preferably a reputable specialist around your area which you can ask on here, before you do more damage than what's present
I can't cook so I stay the **** out of the kitchen unless I'm making a brew I'm mot calling you incompetent mate but these scubys are not ones to be played about with if you don't know best of luck

OK, back again.
As Zany says above, sounds like you have airlocked it, or lost coolant causing same.
If so, first, find out where the coolant went: if there's no obvious leak, take it to a garage and ask for a sniff test, which checks for hydrocarbons in the coolant. if it's positive, your head gaskets are shot, which is very bad news, means a top end rebuild and if you have any sense, split the block and replace mains too. Not cheap.
Once you know where/why the coolant went, drain and refill using my method on here, do a search under my name, you CANNOT bleed it if it gets airlocked, so do it right
Now the locking: if it's working from the fob it's not a fuse. It may be a fault inside the door that means the contacts aren't making contacts when a key is used, strip down the door and have a look. Doorcard off is easy.
Steering fault not electrical, no. What SORT of fault? describe it for us, otherwise it could be owt.

My bugeye has the factory UK sigma alarm and I can lock the doors with the key fob remote.
I think they take the battery out when they fit them so as not to confuse things. I put a battery in mine and it works fine.
If it was working before it may be the receiver box inside the car. Up under the dash, above your right leg. I've had them before where the relay windings break or the contacts inside need cleaning up. Not an easy DIY though but I have repaired one years ago where the relay winding wire had broken (and would intermittently work) I soldered a bridge wire in to get it working.
