Hello from Barnsley
Thought I'd best introduce myself having finally purchased my black Blobeye WRX.
My previous Subaru was a 2000 classic which was not far off being mint. I however in a fit of stupidity sold it for a sensible car about 6 years ago.
That lasted for several years then as luck would have it my Fiat Panda 4x4 lease car was due to go back.
I now have a rather tidy Blobeye with 23k on the clocks all backed up with piles of documentation for the subtle yet quality modifications.
The car is running 315bhp on a TD05H 16G turbo, STi injectors, white line arb's front and back lowered on black rota alloys.
I am finding the power delivery somewhat different to my last focus st which was running around 290. The WRX needs a lot more effort to drive quicker which in some way I like. It is a very easy car to drive steadily.
Ill try and post some pics when the weather improves
Chris

My 330hp Blob is quite docile if I don't launch or gear down etc.

I do like a black blob. I actually looked at one before I bought mine but unfortunately it was sold when I made a decision to make an offer (long story)

I did a lot of pondering prior to buying this one due to it being at a sales pitch that is well documented on here for all the wrong reasons. Fortunately I found the previous keeper 62yr old and spoke to them. I think I've bought a good one.

Yes still have it at the minute, toying with the idea of letting her go this year as I've only put 8k in 2 and a half years and can't see me doing many more this year
Can't believe you've still got yours, must be nocking on for 7 years now isn't it?

8.5years. Got it July 2007.
I've only managed 4.5k miles in two years, in fact last year was 1k miles between MOTs
But it's still a great car and going strong
We have swapped the fiat turbo for a 2.0 MX5 sport though not the fastest car in the world but great fun to drive.
Maybe this year we might get on that drive we have talked out for years but never done

Mine had double that when I bought it on a 53 plate.
But you are right they are still great cars and I love the involving drive. That's why I've still got mine.
Driven many new cars a lot much faster than mine but always got back in the STi and prefferd it. The only time that's not been true is the new exige, R8 V10+ or 458 spyder. Trouble is I can't afford any of them cars.
