can i remove this

Default can i remove this

hello people my 98 turbo has no air box just a big k&n just want to no if i can remove this piece as looks silly with out air box

It diverts cold air towards the said K&N though doesnt it ?
I know it wont be hurting the car with it on, if you remove it what will guide the air towards the cone filter (evil thing that it is) ?

Unless you HAVE to remove the air box for a FMIC I dont know many that would remove the air box as its far better at doing its job then a open cone filter.

the filter is fed from the drivers bumper this goes back into the wing i no its better with a air box but i love the sound of the k&n

cant map a 98 ecu with out an after market one ive had this set up for 9 years never skipped a beat

Maybe you could get it tipped with a couple of other bits in carbon it'll look the part then as said can't be doin any harm unless the filters in-wing type then just rip it off I font need mine but still prefer it on its all how you feel pal

Looks sweet mate I've got a carbon cooling plate but not the air scoop like yours can't find one for a classic

that bay looks tidy! with not too much aftermarket spam put on there too... I wish I didn't use mine everyday or id have it in a lockup and strip n clean the *******!

Thx pal I'm just in a debate on the aps induction as its the only thing left to do in crinkle red/ carbon all else is staying as is

Cone induction kits do nothing for most cars, if anything loss power. Only reason to fit one is induction roar. In hot countries must really blunt performance.
