Question

I must admit I am tempted by this one, after all I spend enough on the lottery each week and the odds are far worse than 1 in 2000! Anyone else been tempted?

£25 x 2000 = £50,000

So the maths works then and is leaving plenty for them to run the company on.

The only T&C I'm concerned about is the data protection - you have to opt out of marketing. I believe this contravenes the 1998 data protection act, but as all other companies do it then what the hell?

What happens to your money if the competition doesn't go ahead? It is unclear. I have mailed 'em.

If they respond in a good way, they'll have my 25 quid.

Failing that, do you think we can get 1000 scoobynetters to pay 25 quid to have 1/1000 stake in an STI

If the competition doesn't go ahead, money is refunded. Just got a mail through.

I'm giving it a punt.

...............ah Daniel Sun,....... They have a stand at Terminal 4 at HEathrow airport as well, where you can see the car they have on offer at that particular time, I suppose so many business men go thru the airport it makes sense to get a few web entries as well.... entered a few times, never won though !

Think the one you're on about above with the Heathrow/Lambo connection is best of the best, but looking at their site, a lot of it is Left Hand Drive stuff! :-(

Think better link is:
http://www.topprize.co.uk/tpPresent.aspx

(gives the current car)

<Edit!: also, this one appears to be UK only, hmmm...........)

Fair one! :-(

Just an inredibly unfriendly way of saying you have to entera value in these fields, e.g: the full address etc, also note that your phone number needs to be entered as all numbers!

(no spaces, no brackets)

Sorry for the hassle, thanks for the QA!

One of the options for the questions is wrong, the o-60 time is 5.5 secs, but the nearest option is 5.2?

This means no-one can win it as you will all be wrong.

5.5 for for 0-62. Nowhere on the subaru site does it gives a time for 0-60.

Look in the info they give on page 1. They want you to answer the questions from there.

Regardless of what the actual time is, the figure they give is what they want you to answer, but the option they give is wrong.

Aha!

Above the questions, it says "according to Subaru uk..."

If you go to Subarus website, and click on the link to the STi, the presentation runs through and gives all the answers, including 0 -60 as 5.2 secs!.

The reason this was done is because there are so many different figures floating about in mags etc,etc we needed a definitive set.

Front page says 0-62 is 5.5, therefore you can safely assume the 0-60 required is slightly less (ie 5.3) ??!!

LP, the draw date, as stated in the terms and conditions will be when the required number of tickets (in the case of the scoob draw, 2000) are sold.

Nobody need fear being ripped off, because as also stated in the terms and cons, if the tickets sales arent reached, a full refund will be given to all who entered.

We are NOT in this to rip people off, or for a scam.

When the winner is drawn, we will be only to happy to post details here as well as our own site if you guys want?.

Basically, we're both car nuts, have had/have fun cars ourselves, so it seemed like a logical progression to turn an interest/obesession into a business.

Take it easy,

TP
