Default Smelly clutch

Let my son have a go of Driving the Scooby tonight and he enjoyed it but the smell from my clutch afterwards was shocking as he rode it once quite bad after which he had a clip lol does this happen sometimes is this normal as the clutch is quite new bedded in 800 miles or so I'm just wondering is it normal or no? Not into launching the car so I'm not sure if it should smell or not.

Any smell coming from the clutch isn't a good sign. Personally I'd pack his bags. No smell is normal, the only time you'll get a smell is when it's being thrashed or the clutch has been ridden.

My blob wrx is running 330bhp and the only time I get any smell is after a 'spirited drive' with roundabouts and short bursts in between.

If it was smelling with him taking it steady, he could have been riding the clutch and I wouldn't let him drive it again

He won't be driving again I can assure you that lol, so a smell after giving it some is fine but anything else maybe trouble?

It's just where he has been slipping the clutch , lots of revs then launching it etc .

After a bit of driving it will go
