Question 96 WRX STI DRIVING ME NUTO!!!!

so i recently gained a 1996 wrx sti (v2 555, according to sites found on google), confirmed by subaru NZ that it is STI. . . . so . . . .
It has the STI motor, standard WRX injectors & airflow meter, gizzmo upgrade ecu & chip and a few more mods as listed below. This set up (so i've been told), is running at standard wrx performance.. . . .
I've been given many suggestions on how to run it as it should with an STI engine, e.g. Link 4, STI ecu, etc . . . . . my question is, and any advice is welcome.
Is it not possible to change the injectors and airflow to STI ones, then re-tune the gizzmo ecu???????

MODZ:
- aftermarket headers
- 3 inch exhaust
- upgraded turbo
- adjustable cert (just installed new ones, issues again grrr)
- V8 kit (no front indicators)

. . . . . . . i think thats all

Thanx

It is possible to change the injectors and airflow but it depends on what power your after and what Turbo you have. Usually you map the engine to the performance of the Turbo if your internals can take it. Any Scooby that has a Turbo upgrade should always be mapped by someone that knows what they are doing as you don't want to much of a mismatch around the system which could possibly cause you problems later on.

For starters, what is the applied model code on the vin plate ?
If it's a 555 it'll be blue with roof flap.

The WRX and STI share the same injectors and air flow meter at that age.

What turbo does the car have ?
What's an "adjustable cert"
What's a V8 kit ?

Default Matty :)

Applied model number:GC8C4ED
(the roof flap has been removed)

Its certified for adjustable suspension, have installed K Sport coil overs.

Not sure about the turbo, it just says TBO on it.

V8 Kit - It has a version 8 STI bodykit

Is the car 53C blue?
What has been put in place of the roof flap to cover the hole?

The cars been painted a maroon/brown.
There's a very noticeable dent/groove where the roof flap originally was.

Just having a look at those TBO things lol
Looks like they're cheap Chinese copy's,wouldn't trust one on my car tbh.
So there are a few different ones looking at this list, see if you can find any more info, letters markings on the turbo.

Also as for tuning the ecu I personally would look at getting a standard ecu then upgrade it with the ESL board, the car will then be capable of live mapping and more

Sound a bit suspect to me,probably not a 555 but an STI.
Get some pics up if you can
What colour code is on the vin plate?
