Default Paddle clutches

Looking at a competion paddle clutch... But abit unsure as I here they can be very juddery.....

I've only ever used standard clutches like the exedy pink when I say standard I mean the solid non paddle type...

I'm currently running 350ish but will be looking to up the power when funds allow to say 420 approx

I'm just wondering how juddery are we talking having not experienced it just wondering what it like to drive with them ??

Wont need a paddle clutch my exedy pink is holding out at nearly 500bhp paddle clutches are the most horrid things on a road car when and if mine fails will be getting a twin plate. I used to run paddle clutches in my cossie days, spent most of the time stalling it, traffic jams were my worst nightmare lol

they are hardwork in traffic as there is no riding the clutch

they do take some getting use to

They judder like mad as they are race clutches and the bite is on/off pulling away is horrid also need a leg like a body builder to press it.

You dont pull away with a paddle its more of a lurch or a stall

I used to have one in one of my daily cars. Held the power very well, wore out VERY fast and my god it was hard to drive. It's basically a switch. Great fun in traffic!

Just removed mine. Was a competition clutch stage 4. Wasnt the nicest of things to live with and overall made the car feel like a bag of hammers. Im fitting a pink box instead. Got it from as performance... By far cheaper than anyone else

exedy pink box will handle 420 all day long and very nice to use just make sure you skim your flywheel before fitting and it will be judder free

See alyn at AS Performance for an exedy pink box clutch.
Too many people selling hooky Exedy units.
Buy from a reputable dealer!
