Default Newage header upgrade

So I've stripped of the standard wrx headers from the Bug, question is what upgrade to get.

A) Harvey ported headers (but the only drawback is the £100 refundable trade in with my headers, what if they say they cannot use them? Been stung with that before)

B) japspeed spec 3 headers? Only question there is will my harvey up pipe fit to the pipe work instead of the one it's supplied with?

C) another option, let me have your suggestion.

Will hope that the car runs around the 350 mark when work is completed.

Cheers

Well the cars standard headers are still capable at 400bhp and ported are around 450bhp so it not worth the expense in my opinion. You'd be better off putting the money toward some better brakes or tyres or even having a billet wheel put on your turbo assuming it's still standard in those areas of course.

It may be i keep my standard ones, rip of the shi* heat shield, wrap them and put them back on with my harvey up pipe.

I will be running a VF turbo, just unsure which one yet. Tyres, brakes and suspension is already sorted. done all those before even thinking of chasing numbers

If they're off... change em.

Good headers like RCM unequal length can add up to 60lb (did on 2.5) which is a big difference - poss gained 15-20 bhp. Had them fitted with a CAIK - together great breather mods.

Harvey headers will give a little bit more everywhere - esp with spool / drivability increasing.

And whatever you do keep the Harvey up-pipe. I did and lost only 100rpmm in spool when fitting RCM JOBBIES.

Port your own headers. It's not rockets science and the sense of satisfaction will be immense

And don't pay the rcm tax.... you don't need them and they will offer no benefit over ported ones.

Now for my usual go for killer b headers if you want the best.
