Rim leak

Rim leak
Hi
I've just got some brand new rota force wheels and brand new tyres fitted. Within the first couple of days the pressure dropped in the front drivers side. I took it to my local garage and they identified that the rim was leaking. They have fitted a rim seal which appears to have stopped the leak but I'm a little concerned why I would have rim leak on new wheels and tyres and this is effecting my right foot. Does anyone have similar experience of this?
Thanks

I had a rim leak recently on my 54 plate Passat - kinda understandable at that age. Bead sealant (basically black rubbery paint) fixed it fine 6 months ago, and still fine now.
However, I'd ask where you got the wheels from to pay for the rim leak repair and change the wheel.
If they value their reputation, they won't quibble.

Without looking at the wheels and tyres it's hard to say.
The bead area; the area you cannot see until the tyre is removed is what makes it air tight. A scratch, lump of debris, or a ridge of excess rubber on the tyre from when it came out out of the mould in this bead area can cause it to leak.
Rim/bead leaks on old wheels is almost always due to corrosion, flaking of paint and pitting. But with them being new it shouldn't be this.
Rim seal, if it works is a permanent fix...until the tyre is removed. Where it will have to be done again.

Wheels and tyres (p zeros) are in my opinion good products so I would not have expected quality issues with either wheel or tyre batch. the local garage could not see anything on the tyre or wheel which may have caused the leak so I was really none the wiser when I left them. Cheers for your comments - much appreciated. I'll keep an eye on pressure and discuss with supplier.
