If I were to sell my 20th anniversary I'd put it up for £18,000.

I thought they would fetch good money, I couldn't justify a 2.5l especially with the tax band. and the fact of my budget being half that price haha

Yeh, just get a forged one. Surely all the hatches fall into the higher bracket, even imports as the tax bracket now goes on registered date??

Why would you "chuck piston and rings at it" subaru built the jdm to last, will happily run over 450bhp and take abuse all day long(unlike the watered down 2.5 crap they gave us, yeh lower tax band too

I think the import cars are not in the 450 tax bracket

The 2.0l JDM cars are lower tax and are better specced.

Just a question why do you want another impreza?
You soon got bored of the last one.
That's why I got rid of mine too but I have no desire to ever own one again.
The hatch Is the same car in an awful shell.
I just don't get it
There are far better cars out there nowadays

Just a question why do you even come on this forum if you don't want another Subaru?

I have a forged hatch and with a few handling tweaks it's an awesome car!

It's good that you and other former Subaru owners share your experience but I don't get your motivation. If I made the conscious decision I was never going to own another, and presumably lost interest in the marque, I wouldn't be on here! I'm not slagging you, I find it odd that's all!

For me Subaru's are well and truly under my skin and I can't see myself in a position where I don't own one (even if it's a second car).

Everyone's different I guess mine was a second car to the point it was hardly used so I sold it and don't miss it at all.
I still love the marque but I have no desire to own another but one day I might

Back in the 90s I hate a gtir and hated the chav chariot that was the Subaru Impreza. Fast forward to 2015 whilst bidding on Evos at auction and copious amounts of wine I woke up to an email to confirm I was the new owner of 2008 jdm hatch lol.
I think you go through fazes with performance cars

I think you're probably right the chav element like sioc puts me off ever owning another one but in ten years time they will be long gone thankfully and I may buy another but to me anything after the hawk is not for me

Lol u make me laugh bud. The wife asked if I wanted a Subaru jacket for my birthday. I wouldn't light the fire with one bud. For me the jdm hatch is more of a grown up Subaru for mature owners like myself doesn't have the burble very exclusive here in Southern Ireland.

I'm with you. I hate anything subaru related. I like going fast and this is what enabled me to do that in the most cost effective way at the time!
