Insuring 2 cars
Hi fellas,
Thinking of getting a daily and keeping the STI for weekends. How do you go about insuring?
Obviously I need to keep my NCB on the STI so that it's cheaper, how do you go about insuring another car cheaply?
Thanks,

I have 2 policies with 9+ years on both.
I find it cheaper than the multi car insurance although for some multicar is cheaper.
Not many insurers out there will insure a modded scooby and a normal daily together, they either specialise in modded cars or just normal cars and won't touch a modded scooby.
Very few will however insure both on a multicar but it's ringing round and finding insurers that do and for a good price is key.
Try Keith Michaels, aviva, admiral etc

Does that push the premium right up though having 0 NBC on the Accord?

Most specialist brokers (such as Keith Michaels who I work for) will be able to mirror your NCB.
We don't even insist you bring both cars to us..... if you find a cheap and cheerful policy online for the daily driver we can mirror the NCB onto your Impreza

Lol i did not know that Gary.
My Impreza is with Keith Michaels and my daily driver is with some other cheap company. Although i din't know about the mirroring, worth keeping in mind.

As above, try Moley.
And don't be afraid of looking for insurance with the comparison sites with 0% ncb.
When I bought my Corsa, I was quoted £120 with 60% discount and £180 with none...go figure.

I had a family fleet policy with Clegg Gifford 5 vehicles for £900, recently dumped it though because of new restrictions on amount of time in EU and not getting a good enough quote/cover on my mrs new car, so went with separate policies, mine gives me unlimited time in EU and she can't mess with my no claims now.
