BTCC Subarus win at Oulton Park
The BMR Subaru racing team came 1st and 3rd at Oulton with Colin Turkington (1st) and Jason Plato driving. Pretty good results for the 'slightly' modified Levorgs!

These cars are impressive considering the rather average vehicle on which they're based. Is this an opportunity for Subaru to produce a sporty road going version? Recent history would suggest not but who knows?

The JDM 2.0L DIT engine puts out 300ps but unfortunately only with the CVT box and unlikely to make the UK or Europe

No irony intended, but this fine looking car is compromised with its gearbox and won't be coming to the UK anyway.
Subaru have managed to squander all the goodwill they built up following their rally successes, with subsequent poor design and dodgy engines, and they seem to determined not to attempt to redress the balance.

No. I believe they did use same engine but the rules change allows use of own engine. Subaru uses boxer engine developed by mountune.

Perhaps Subaru simply wish to disassociate themselves from the debatable publicity that they earned from the various Impreza models, by not appealing to the young sporty driver. The chavvy image is probably not something they celebrate I'm sure! Even the BRZ, a sports car in appearance, is apparently a bit of a dud with little driver appeal. So dull rules!
