One of the joys of having a Scooby is the pleasure its gives Kevvers when they beat you in the Traffic Light Grand Prix

I only wish there was some way to convey to them the message that *actually* I would have royally kicked their ar$e if it was not for the fact that (choose any of the following):

- I've just left the car park at work and the water is still cold, let alone the oil

- I've just been to McD's/KFC/etc and if I pull more than .25G my footwell will be covered in Pepsi (no cup holders in my MY97!)

- We're just outside a school, in rush-hour

- The lights are still *red*, you wally

- It would be mean to embarrass you in front of your 15 yr old girlfriend in your 1.0 Nova/Fiasco/Micra

- etc

Any others?

I've succumed to traffic light Gran Prix a couple of times. I let them get ahead while I go for a rolling start. (BMW both times I think ) I'm sympathetic to my clutch. Once rolling I boot it in 1st and all they know is a Green flash and a blarp from the exhaust. I know, I know, I know, it's not big, it's not clever, but sure is fun! D

I don't do it when the oil is cold, ohhh no.

Any way some times they want you to do it. I saw a Diablo in Guildford today, I was desperate for him to rev it, but no, he didn't.

Don't you have a pull out cupholder thingy on your MY97? both my wrx and wrxsti had these, its above the heater/ac controls, I thought it was a feature of the older style interior.
