Default Selling car price & location opinions please ??

Jdm blobeye widetrack cars seem to be at £11k to £12k at say 50k to 70k miles on 2004 to 2006 at the moment does this sound about right?

Based on the above I'm asking £13k for my a 2007 hawkeye ( jdm sti a line) is this about right with current prices?

Now the location! I live in Birmingham, I class my car as vgc in fact all my cars are looked after and 100% straight but are people put off by buying from Birmingham that much or this type of car?

Being that my Impreza is a bit of a rare model I hoped it would help with interest or is that not the case?
I don't want to stupidly lower price but don't want to wait forever to sell as I have a family member that's ill, it's early days as car has only been 4 sale a week I think I just hoped it would go that quick I would not have time to think about it, now I'm curious roughly how long these cars take to sell?

There are two problems.

1. A Line is not something UK buyers are familiar with.

2. A JDM Spec C can be had for the same money - as an example -

and a £1k more a Hawk Spec C

Whilst I like your car, know what it is and how well it goes others will not. The vultures from Clives etc will be around soon to offer stupid money as you have said you are in a bit of bother.

Hi mate,

In my opinion, it's the price. It's a bit too high. Unfortunately, for the non-educated out there, they just see it as a standard looking Impreza without the flashy STi bits on it (even though it's far from that). I think if you lowered the price to 12k Ono, you'd stand a better chance of selling it.

13k isnt too expensive but money is hard to come by atm and everyone wants a Spec C or a white on lol. Personally I love your A Line but yes Birmingham is a challenging sell. It doesn't look special enough to most people to satisfy 13ks worth of vanity

Your car looks lovely, no doubt about it. The only problem you have is it's an extremely niche car. Most people that want an Impreza want lairiness and vulgarity, eg. big spoilers, gold callipers, loud exhausts, shiny 02C blue or black with gold fleck paintwork, etc. (obviously I'm generalising to an extent). Moreover, as has already been said, £13k isn't small change and propels a prospective buyer into spec c/low mileage blob widetrack/a tasty S202/even forged hatch territory. The words subtle and Impreza don't really go together, so the market for an A-line is tiny, plus an interested party has to have a spare 13Gs knocking about.

It will sell, but it might take weeks or even months. Lots of very nice cars have taken a surprisingly long period of time to sell - Ryan's JDM hatch immediately springs to mind.

Maybe reduce the price slightly if you want to speed things up. Good luck!

Many thanks for the honest opinions guys I know Birmingham can scare away buyers. I see it as like a fresh import but all the expensive work already has been done. Should I be looking some were in the middle with the price then?

Got a spec c but who wants a white one ...but in all fairness I wouldn't accept £15k for mine, maybe if I took bits off it but it's not for sale so I'll shut up

Thanks again for honest advise I've dropped the price a bit In line with standard jdm's, I would like it to go to a fellow enthusiast not a bad rep garage with a price hike or a Barry boys type owner if poss.

Sadly Birmingham has its share of dodgy cars sold, and a rep for maybe not quite Bradford . I think there was a type r recently with a cracked wheel.

I live in leicester and if it's the same issue they would rather buy a 15 year old dog turd as long as it had a merc badge.
So a decent spec and condition car is of little interest.

+1

I'm in Birmingham, and sold a couple of subarus previously with no problem. I know a few lads locally with very nice examples as well.
