People's opinions on this exhaust flange
Just wanting people's opinions on this .. it has just arrived i paid £305 for this twin scroll down pipe but don't like the look of the inside of the flange... what are your thoughts?!

looks like it was made on blue peter. very poor quality and looks like a cut and shut weld job. that inner flange would need ported and polished as it would surely cause restriction? the bell mouth looks like it was ground down by stevie wonder as well.

That's a lot of money paid for a poor quality item although I would expect a good quality twinscroll pipe like a milltek as I have on mine to cost more hope you get a replacement sorted, where did you buy it and is it new?

Cheers for ya thoughts... I've called the company they are taking it back and sorting for me on Monday. Yer it is supposed to be brand new and it from a well known exhaust manufacturer.

Well what about this one then. Wouldn't it be better for the flow if it also was welded on the inside instead of that gap between the round pipe and the outer shape? I can tell you that my previous single scroll Invidia downpipe is a work of art compared to this. This wasn't the only flaw but it should work.

RCM in my case! Would have expected something of a better quality than this. I wouldn't be too surprised if the Japspeed downpipe actually is better.

If my middle and back box come anything like the twinscroll dp,i wont be just naming an shaming the company on scoobynet ill try make sure people should not be saying they can make exhausts that clearly are not upto standard.

It's difficult to see weld quality on the Internet imo, but on the firSt one, were you actually worried about the weld quality or the flange roughness? The flange could look neater but I wonder think it would have caused any issues with flow etc as such.
Turbovin, how far does the inside pipe poke out, so to speak? Would imo have benefitted from a better fit up, but doubt it's going to make a massive difference from a power point of view.

Will have to measure properly when I'm back in the garage but 8-10 mm past the weld probably. It doesn't poke out fully that much though. But it's on the left it needs smoothing out the most really. I'm going to give it to a skilled friend and see what he can do.

It is difficult to get in there with tools when it's welded up, unfortunately... hopefully a die grinder fits
