Advce on future Sale/Valuation
Evening Lads,
Unfortunately my circumstances are changing to the point where I may not be able to justify owning/running my 2007 Subaru Imprezza WRX Hawkeye (Wagon). Things will become clearer over the next month or so but so I can run the figures I wanted to post this honest representation of my car so that I may get an idea of how much it may go for and also maybe give one of you guys a chance before it probably goes up on Autotrader.
The car is completely standard and has only had two owners since new, the first owner who I bought it from was an older gent who bought it because his son had one and hardly pushed it at all. So it's a good buy for either someone looking for good standard example that hasn't been modified or someone who wanted a 'blank canvas' as it were to modify. I bought it from him at 63,000 and have maintained it well since. It has a full service history and the details are as follows;
Subaru Impreza WRX 2.5L (Hawkeye Wagon)
Mileage: 80,100
Colour: Scooby Blue
Servicing
07/09/2007 1580 Free 1000 mile service - Haddocks Subaru Dealership

17/02/2010 24,975 2nd Year service - Haddocks Subaru Dealership

25/07/2013 54,809 Full Service (New Clutch, New Flywheel, New overdrive system, New gear box, New left front wish bone) - PRO TUNE
14/07/2015 69,551 Full Service (Camshaft drive belt replaced, Hydraulic cam belt tensioner replaced, auxiliary drive belt replaced) - Bell & Colvill Subaru Dealership
12/12/2015 74,878 Full Service - Peter Cooper Car Repairs
18/05/2016 78,771 Full Service - Peter Cooper Car Repairs
Recent New parts
15/06/2014 4 x Dunlop Sport Max RT’s tyres fitted
Potential Issues
In the interest of full disclosure here are some of the niggles it has.
Bell & Colvill advised in 2015 that the Air con compressor electromagnetic clutch is rough and will slip under load. I have had no problem since and have been advised by other mechanics/friends that they were talking bollucks.
Small amount oil found near the oil cooler - no action advised at present
Front passenger fog lamp has been cracked and I haven't got round to changing it.
Steering whines on start up but goes after 1-2 minutes of the engine running. I have replaced ‘O’ rings and power steering fluid as advised on these forums but the noise is still there. As it disappears after a couple of minutes and does not affect the vehicle I have not taken any further action.
Passenger side airbag needs replacement due to a potential fault (I understand this is case with all these models) but is done under subaru warranty. There is a problem with sourcing the parts but I'm expecting a phone call when they are available and it will be fitted free of charge.
Alloys have some scuffs and there are some very small scratches from every day use but nothing major and you have to really look for them.
So yes taking the above into account what sort of price do you think this car would go for right now?
Also how much would to price drop if I kept it till 90,000?
Pictures to follow!
