Default Which steering rack does a widetrack Blob STI have?

I'm hoping someone will tell me it's the same as fitted to a Spec C, aka the quick rack.

I remember doing a swap to a Spec C rack on my old Blob wagon and it was probably the best mod I did, so if the widetrack hasn't got a quick rack, I need to get one

Bit of Googling threw up something about it having a "revised" steering rack, whatever that means.

Dont think any UK car had a quick rack also the JDM widetrack quick racks are pretty rare so good luck on your search

Uk car will have a fast rack 15:1 and not the JDM quick rack 13:1. I think you also have to get the correct rack for a widetrack, added yaw sensors?

So I need a quick rack from a JDM widetrack? Fair enough, that's the info I needed.

Jay there is another option be that a little more complex / as earlier JDM racks are getting harder to source , it turns out the 2015 STI has the quickest rack of any Subaru past ...
Loads of threads on USA forums / worth a look if nothing else

The widetrack JDM steering rack part no: 34110FE550.
That's a 13:1 2.25 turn lock to lock steering rack.
Will fit all Impreza Blob and Hawkeyes.

There's one or two for sale on eBay.

Hope that helps!

Good find murph / inner rods are cheap as chips & if you get yourself a roll centre kit you'll be about £450 all in

Just to revive this, I've seen a couple of the £300+ ones on ebay, but none look to have any connectors on them for sensors? They must surely be from DCCD cars though if from Widetrack Spec C's right?

There are no sensors on the rack to do with the dccd, steering angle sensor is in the clock spring and the yaw and lateral G sensor are in front of the handbrake lever

Not to sure Gazney
The Hawk has a revised rack & subframe so the quick rack must surely be revised if the subframe on hawks are slightly diff /
Sorry to put the spanner in but you could try contacting matty
I'm sure he will of had plenty subframes thru his door & could clarify the Hawk has a revised subframe .. If that's the case jay .. it may be the case however that the rack itself has no change as Gazney says
Regards

Don't confuse fast rack and quick rack, they are different. One is rare and one is even rarer.
