Default new member/new owner-hi!

So after wanting one since before I could drive I will FINALLY take delivery of a new WRX STI at the beginning of Sept....literally counting down the days!

will be a car to share with my OH but as i do incredibly low mileage (compared to his work trips that can do hundreds of miles a day) i get it as a DD

SO much to learn despite having browsed the forums at length for years, but looking forward to it!

Congratulations! Really interested in hearing how you get on with the new impreza as I'd love one too. Had you had one of any age/type before?

Welcome to the forum - I've only been here a few days but the guys (and occasional girl other than me and you!) are all great so far!
Enjoy the forum and look forward to seeing your car photos when it gets to you!

i drove one years ago for a friend (too many cars and not enough hours to actually keep them all driving ) but sadly don't know what it was as it would have been 8/9 years ago and I wasn't as clued up (and i'm not all *that* clued up on the older models now!!!!)

Friends OH had an RB320 and initially that's the route i was going to go down but then ended up with 2 cars to chop in (long story) so decided as i don't yet have a big network of people or knowledge, to go new and take advantage of the warranty peace of mind etc.

so I've gone from a beemer (3 series) to a Honda Civic Type S and now i finally get my dream car
my dad and brother are firmly in the BMW/Audi camp so think I've lost my marbles..........................but I bet they are first in the queue for a drive lol!

Ooh, when you say NEW car you really mean new car then! Not just new to you, but new and fresh! lol.

What colour did you go for? Post up pics when you get it.

I went from a BMW 10 years ago into a 1 year old Subaru and had them ever since. Great fun.

If you can't get shell then Tesco 99 is next best.

Don't use Esso stuff.

Shell and Tesco is the same stuff.

Loads of people have had det issues using Esso. I'd never use the stuff, ever.
