I found the bumps no problem, as the stuff stretches and you heat it to pull the creases out.

I've a few sets with the dark in the middle on their way as we speak.

I tried mine on and off the car to fit & TBH if they are on the car they are easier to work on, as off the car you need a second set of hands to hold them, using the squeegee and a hair dryer and holding a cluster isn't easy to do when you need to be applying pressure on the cluster.

just follow watch the video a few times

It must have been you then who i bought mine off. I got the clear lense from subaru was £71 and delivered next day and smoked overlays from salsa delivered super quick too. I wanted red but i'm impatient and hated the standard lights. I fitted them at the weekend, I removed the lights from the car as they had green mould growning all round the edges and was an eye sore imo. So I cleaned them out and fitted the overlays.

After

I'd say they would be easier to fit on the car, but off the car you can make sure the edges are stuck down properly behind the lense.
