Default Forester sti

Guys can anybody confirm if the engine in the forester sti is the same 2.5 engine that has the issues?any known issues etc?due to an expanding family my current car a skyline gtr might not be the modt practical.top of my list at the minute is a mapped 535d but the forester idea has just been put in my head by a friend.any information would be greatly appreciated.cheers guys.

The FSTi engine is an EJ255 - same as the WRX and has faired better than the EJ257 STi

My old MY 05 STi was gas converted by it's new owner at 40k. Last seen on 150k and going strong.

Happydays.what are they like to modify?what kind of power can be had out of one?the more i look the more i like.its definately a contender with the 535d now.

Mine had 330/330 Litchfield Pack including Pink shocks and springs with Whiteline ARB's and links. Went like f@%k.

Cheers guys.some of those write ups are brilliant.hoping to have around 9.5k ish to spend on one.swaying towards blue aswell.i keep trwaling the net looking.

Very nice.personally swaying towards wr blue 04/05 ish.my last scooby was crystal grey.are you modded?do parts cost the same and readily availible?
