To up the power you will need either a newer mappable ECU or an ESL board fitted to your current ECU. There arn't any Stages when upping power but you may consider a better air filter (the standard airbox is pretty good, induction kits just make noise), uprate the fuel pump, clutch and keep on eye on the gearbox above about 330 bhp. Run it on a minimum of 99 RON or expect some knocking soon.
The early models have pooh brakes, the later four pots are better but BREMBO's need bigger wheels. Keep an eye on the rear arches for bubbling as they can hide bigger internal issues.
The advice will come thick and fast but do you want to ***** wave or enjoy the car?
And remember it is 20 years old.

im 33 so would like to say im out the show off stage. so would like to get one to enjoy and look after.
i know the classics are getting on a bit now but as long as i get a good example i should be ok.
i have owned a couple of wrx,s in the past and to be honest its just pure enjoyment when i drive them. even just poodling about on a sunday for a pub lunch or something.
cheers.
