Default '94 WRX STI 001/100 - confusing!!!

We recently took stock of this car at work, but seems to be a rare bird!!!

Anyone have any ideas? According to everything i find, the first STi only cane in red black or silver (this ones vin and chassis number say silver) but the cars blue, its never been painted, factory paintwork through out!

Thats really confusing, chassis matches the plate. It clearly says paint code 406 silver. Pot riot missing off plate, but chassis number doesn't looked messed with, is the chassis number on correct side?

Pot rivet isnt damaged just bad angle lol

Everything is in order, under the seats, under car, under bonnet, boot floor, inner wings and inner doors and every nook and cranny is original blue paint or primered with the usual overspray, the chassis number is in tact, correct side and matches the vin. Yet the colour on the vin says silver?!

Think it used to be his car. Saw the other thread, didn't bother reading all of it and saw someone mention 1/100. Put two and two together and realised so thought I would comment

Pictures look like they are the same car. Might be worth asking him if they did ever get to the bottom of it unless you bought it off him any way

According to the database the paint code should be 331 - Cobalt Blue Metallic

So just to confirm, Subaru themselves have the car documented as being blue, and the vin tag is incorrect. that to me confirms that the previous post when David APi had this and got shot down was wrongly done so, and that the car left Subaru as a 1 off, and has never been painted or "rung" as suggested pmsl

Would appear that way, especially as it has the matching deep blue "undercoat" in the engine bay.............
