Default Buying Guide & Insurance help

Hi,

Newbie here. I am going to buy an 04 plate blob eye on Sunday and wondered what I should look out for. The car has done a lot of miles but has a full Subaru history up to 3000 miles ago. Belte were changed 30,000 miles ago along with water pump. Also who would you guys suggest I go to for insurance. Unfortuantely I have no no-claims-bonus as I drive a company car. However I am an old fart so that may go in my favour!!!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A few of the common issues can be found in here:

https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...liability.html

There are also a few areas of rust to look out for. Where the windscreen meets the roof, under the radiator, behind the front wheel arch liners, and around the jacking points. But basically they are very well put together.
History is everything. Lots of oil changes and money spent. Any mods should have documentation and be from a reputable place.
Good luck!

Hi and welcome.
Please feel free to give us a try for insurance if you like. If you wanted to private message me some contact details I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back.
Regards,
Dan.

Put the handbags down, ladies - I'm sure Dan has got the message by now.

OP - many insurers will offer an introductory discount if you have years of claim-free driving.
