Default Steering wheel lock key snapped inside lock! Help please

The most dreaded has happened this morning.

Got in the car, pull out the key for the steering lock and notice it's way too bloody short.

Realised a big friend of mine must have stepped on the lock whilst it was off on the passenger side floor which left the key stuck in there.

I've tried to get the broken piece out with screw drivers. Knives. Tweezers. Blue tack. No luck whatsoever.

Can anyone help me with this please. To make matters worse I have training at work which started at 9am! So having to take the stinkin train!!!! Can't even have the day off to sort this ****.

Suggestions anyone or any numbers for professionals to sort it without damaging anything in the car!

I've tried a locksmith company who said they would use an angle grinder but I'm worried about the sparks damaging the interior...

Hoping someone had experienced this situation and knows a damage free method..

Will the lock still turn if other half of key is inserted? If so then just use as is.
