Default Defroster grill removal

Hi folks,

I need to remove the defroster grill on my Hawk to fix a rattle. According to the workshop manual this should be straightforward. See below. Has anyone done this? I just want some guidance on how to do it so I don't damage it. Are there hooks all the way along, and how do I "remove" them since they must be underneath!!

Thanks.

On the classics, you just insert a wide screwdriver, padded to avoid damaging the dash top, lever one end up and then continue along. The clips are a snap fit.

if it's the same as in blob, then there are just clips so you need to pull it and it will come off, I've got some plastic trim removal tools which I used on the first clip just to put the fingers underneath

Thanks. It came off okay although some of the plastic clips fell off when I lifted it, one into the heating duct and 2 others, God knows where.

At least I've now tracked down the rattle I was trying to fix.
