Anyone experience it
I have a stutter between 2.5 and 3 k partial throttle then perfect and perfect on boost
Going to convert the hks dump valve back to recirculating to see if that helps
And ideas how to fix this?
Bob recommended blank dv off but I got a adapter to convert the dv back to recirculating
It only started when I put turbo on and dv together so can't put it down to either
Its goin in to have this done next week see if cures it
Blank it, will sound so much better and keep it on boost between gear changes
Technicly it causes the turbo to stall, hence the chatter, which is actualy worse than bleeding the boost off. Just saying
Also put alot of pressure on the turbo, when i had mine front mounted i asked pat about it, gives no performance gain at all but adds extra pressure into the system.

Techni Yes, but it actually keeps turbo on boost, ask the wrc cars why they do it.
thats a bit like saying 19k rpm works on an f1 car so must work on mine hahahaha
Nothing like it.
If you have no maf sensor then it's actually better when giving it beans and quick gear changes and on/off throttle as the air is still there ready.
Some gypsy turbos can't take it, some can.
There was a test somewhere that a blanked dv had a quicker time 1/4 mile when testing.
I looked into this hard myself as I was going to go for a recirc but decided to blank as I'm maffless and my turbo can take it, and I'm yet to see 'any' turbo actually fail from blanking it.
Too much misconception with this imo.
It's all down to how your set up is running and how your going to use your car, for a daily driver who's chilling with gear changes, running a maf and a vf type turbo is where all the no no don't do it as you will break your turbo.
I've got the hks dv recirculated on mine. Went with the hks one as I was advised it's boost that keeps it shut. They don't have a spring like the usual dv. Not had any issues at all.

yeah it is, your comparing 500 grands worth of race car, running a full chat antilag system with a road car. Not to mention the whole intake including plenumn is different setup

Not really, depends how you've set up your car like I've said above, it does have its benefits and also has its drawback by the science behind it, just because you haven't done it to yours doesn't make you knowledgeable to disagree, can of worms and as said there's no proof that it damages turbo although the science says it should.
There's loads and I mean loads of big power and tuners that have done it because of the benefit it gives, never said it's advisable for a road car either, but if you drive with fast gear changes and on/off throttle you will see the benefits.
Can of worms.
Try it yourself and then tell us how it drives. Unless you're a short shifter lol

In my experience boost recovery is better with the DV blanked off, how this translates to real world performance I have no idea
Off topic banny , you was right . 1-4 also different gears on the hawk although some tuners still say only 5th and 6th, lol l ! Legacy 3.0 box also looks a little different to the hawk with gearing .
