Default What's it worth?

Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this, it was the most relevant I could find.

Ive been on the lookout for a wrx for quite a while. I've just spotted what i thought was a nice example, however I'm a bit unsure on the price of it.

if people could list what they would be willing to pay for the below description that would be fantastic!

04 blobeye, it has a prodrive pack, 120,000 miles, seller has listed a few new recently replaced items, but at the bottom of the pile it lists "partial service history" it is at this point that i see the risk and start questioning what the right price is. Bodywork seems ok, and tbh it's not something I particularly care for providing the car is mechanically sound.

Thanks!

What year car? When was Cambelt last changed?
I would say between £3.5-5k depending on condition and proof of PPP etc

We need at least the year of the car to make a valuation.

My guess was based on a 2005 for the mileage

Gaz/Osset - it's an 04 (just updated the description).

Currently waiting for the garage to get back to me on the specifics of the service history.

Gazza, based on my basic description would you say youd agree with Osset?

At that mileage it's going to depend entirely on condition. No one can really answer this for you without inspecting the car.

Sounds just like my 54plate Wrx Wagon PPP that I sold about 6 months ago with 126k on the clock for £2400 mine did need a cambelt though, I just didn't want to spend any money on it as I didn't see the point.

Mine had age related marks worst of which was a scuff on the rear bumper, was on the car when I got it and never bothered me enough to do anything about it, knowing my luck I'd have fixed it and someone would have scraped it again inside a week.

I would have been happy at anything above £1700, in the end I got what the market dictated... I think the market has risen slightly so £3/3.5k if it's in nice condition... my biggest concerns would be oil changes... make sure it's had plenty... and the gearbox under load coming down through the gears 2nd in particular... make sure there are no funny noises... although mine made a sound for 4yrs but was still ok when I sold it. Subaru gearboxes can be a tad on the noisy side.

I sold an 03 blob wrx last year, it wasnt a ppp but it was a very tidy car and before i sold it i replaced the head gaskets and cam belt kit, i also fitted a new clutch while i had the lump out as the one on there was neigh on dead. I had all receipts for the bits id fitted etc, it sold for £2700.

I personally wouldnt pay more than £2.5 k maximum considering the mileage is getting quite high. I know for £3k i could eventually get myself a nice lower mileage example with just as much history and care taken for it.

Thanks for your suggestions everyone. I ended up paying £2500, as the seller was just looking to make more on what the dealer was offering on part ex, and I really wanted it!

Nice one
Good price by the sounds of it,I thought all Impreza prices were on the up,I suppose with the higher mileage my guess was in the wrong side of optimistic.

I was very surprised when i first looked at the market Osset, the price they command is ridiculous! Even ones with ads like: "don't kno wh@ has bin dun, some modz, remap, servicing might have been done by lazt owner" command a high price.

Well done... sounds like you got it at about the right money... tbh they're a lot of car for the money... just make sure you use shell vpower or tesco momentum and give it regular oil changes with the good stuff.
